| A Yahtzee 4.0 | gamesbasic92 | Christophe Franco | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A Yahtzee dice game for the TI-92 in French. If you can't read french, you might want to rethink this though. In the game, you roll 5 dice trying to get certain combinations of rolls of the dice. You can roll the dice twice (most games let you do it three times. maybe you can and I just can't read the instructions well enough to figure out how). Select option 1 and highlight which dice to throw away with the qwerty keys (just THOSE keys, the q, the w, the e, etc. I'm not referring to the keyboard layout here). Then you pick either table 1 or two to score your results into. You can keep score of how many 1's-6's you got, if you got a full or partial straight (i.e. 2-3-4-5 is a partial, 2-3-4-5-6 is a full. you might only have to get 2-3-4 for a partial, I don't remember). The Yahtzee is when you get all the same number on the dice. Hard to do with only two rolls. There are others, full house, and chance. Chance is when you don't have any score making things. Then you get to add up the total of your dice. Note that you can only track one score in a certain slot. For example, if you score something for your 6's, then you can't score something else there too. If you've never played this, then you might want to look for something else. It's too hard to explain all the rules here, but it's a simple game if you understand it. | Yes |
| Abalone 2.1 | gamesbasic92 | Thomas Morin and Vincent Le Prince | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A strategy game where you must force 6 of your opponents balls off the screen. You can move up to three balls by using the F1-F3 keys and selecting their direction. If you move more than one ball at a time, they all have to go in the same direction. The directions and game are available in French and English, but if you read French, it will be easier to understand. | Yes |
| Agenten 4.0 | gamesbasic92 | Bernhard Seifert and Ryszard Szklany | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Every player has 4 agents. The players try to shoot the agents of the other until the player has no more agents. This is a TWO-PLAYER game ONLY via the link. (The screenshot is kind of bad because I don't have two calcs to play the game) It is not very easy, because the agents can be moved. The winner is the player who killed all agents of the other players. The two versions are for two different calculators. | Yes |
| Aim 92 | gamesbasic92 | Tavis Segura | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The missle command game from Atari (also on the Arcade I think) where you and another player (up to 40 actually, and some players can be played by the computer). It's similar to Tanks and Gorillas too, but has more configuration. You choose an angle and a power level and fire your missle at another player. If you hit them, (or hit near enough to them that the blast destroys them), then you win. If they hit you (again, blast levels...), you lose. Pretty simple. | Yes |
| Angelo 3D 2.1 | gamesbasic92 | Michel Rozpendowski | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A Doom-like (Wolfenstein, Quake, Dune, Duke Nukem 3D, etc) game where you walk around in a 3D maze and kill things. There are 4 monsters and a few weapons too. It's a pretty cool for a BASIC game. | Yes |
| Arkanoid 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | J. J. Johns | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A breakout type game where there is a grid of bricks at the top of the screen, and you are armed with a ball and a paddle to break the bricks. When the ball hits a brick, it bounces back. The ball also bounces back if it hits a wall, or the ceiling, but if it hits the floor, you lose a ball. You start out with 4 balls, but I'm pretty sure you can get more (although in testing the game I never did, so I'm not positive -- guess you'll have to do better than me). The number of balls you have left is indicated in the lower-left part of the screen by a row of lines drawn horizontally -- but you won't see this in the screenshot because I've lost all my extra balls. :( | Yes |
| Ballistic 4 | gamesbasic92 | Julien Salaun | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | It's a tanks/combat like game where there are two players, you and the computer. You are a gun, and the computer is a gun. You fire at each other trying to destroy one another by using angles and forces. There are 1000000 clones of this out there, if you haven't heard/played (of) this before, you must've been living under a rock on Mars with your fingers in your ears for the last 5 years. | Yes |
| Basketball 0.5 | gamesbasic92 | Ashu Chaturvedi | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A Basketball Simulation game. You do not actuall play the game, rather, it just keeps you apprised of the score of each team. You enter the team names and it makes up the scores based on random chance and possibly on the selection of whether it's college or profesisonal level (there's an option for that). The team names in the screenshot were chosen arbitrarily of course, and it's merely a coincidence that Dim-TI has a higher score...:) | Yes |
| Battle Ship | gamesbasic92 | Fabien Vives | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Classic Battleship board game brought to the TI calculators. In the game, you and an opponent are naval commanders who are engaged in a battle. To win, you must sink all your opponents ships. To do this, you give coordinates corresponding to a certain point on the 'sea' to fire at. If you hit the ship, it loses part of its ability to stay afloat. Aften sufficient shots, the ship will sink. There is a lot more strategy to it, but who really cares -- JUST BLOW STUFF UP! It is a 2-player game ONLY and uses the calc to calc link cable. To install, you must first create a folder called BATTLE and transfer all the files into that folder. | Yes |
| Battle Ship 1.3 | gamesbasic92 | vmuh31c@prodigy.com | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic game of Battleship. In this game, you play against an opponent to sink the other persons 'battleships.' They aren't ALL battleships, some are cruisers, and so forth, but you get the idea. To blow up ships, you enter coordinates on a rectangular grid as the location to fire at. If you hit a ship, the ship will lose some boyancy and start to sink. But it will stay afloat until you hit it in enough different spots to make it sink. The problem is finding the ships. Then, you just enter consecutive locations around the coordinate and you've GOT 'EM. It's pretty fun, but kind of slow being a BASIC game. If you like Battleship though, you'll like this. NOTE: To play the game, you must either rename the README text file to another name (doesn't matter what), or delete the file. The computer looks for a file README in the directory, and tells you to read it if it finds it. It won't play the game if it finds it. Never fear, Dim-TI will NEVER force you to READ directions. We'd never be so cruel. :) | Yes |
| BlackJack 1.8 | gamesbasic92 | AltmanJC@Westminster.edu | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic game of Black Jack (or 21). It's a card game where you are dealt cards to you (two at first, but more can be obtained up to 5) where the total must not exceed 21. Black Jack results in double your bet (where Black Jack is an Ace combined with a Jack totaling 21). Aces are worth 1 or 11 (the latter if it will not make you go bust, i.e. go over 21). Face cards (Jack, Queen, King) are worth 10, and other cards are worth their number. "Five Card Charlie" will quadrouple your bet. This is when you get 5 cards which do not total up to 21. This is extremely rare (which is why it's worth so much). | Yes |
| BlackJack 3.0 | gamesbasic92 | BG McCollum | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Another black jack game. You play against the computer with the dealer playing at the same time as you (this is more like REAL Vegas Black Jack). The game keeps track of your wins and losses too. The basic idea is to be dealt cards repeatedly without going over 21 (busting). If you get a Jack (doesn't have to be black) and an Ace, you have BlackJack which is an automatic win. The closer you come to 21 without busting the better. You can stop at anytime, but the goal is to beat the dealer. | Yes |
| BlackJack 1.4 | gamesbasic92 | Andy Moore | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A version of the card game Black Jack. In the game, you are dealt cards (two at first), and you get more trying to get as close as you can to 21 WITHOUT going over. BlackJack is when you get a Jack and an Ace together which is an automatic win. | Yes |
| BlackJack 92 1.1 | gamesbasic92 | Daniel Wolfe | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A two-player version of Black Jack where the players compete against one another. There is no betting in the game though, it works only by winning or losing, and how well you do against the other player. You can check your score between hands. The game play is simple, try to get your hand to reach 21 without going over (face cards are worth 10, aces are worth either 1 or 11, 1 if 11 will cause you to go over 21, 11 otherwise, and other cards are worth their numeric value). A Jack and an Ace (the jack doesn't have to be black -- in fact, suits are not tracked at all in the game or displayed) makes BlackJack, which defeats all other hands. (even if you get 21 in some other combination). I'm not sure if the game supports the '5 card' rule (there are variations on the name) where if you get 5 cards without going bust, you win automatically. | Yes |
| Bubble Gum Crisis Nene's Adventures 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Hiryu | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | An rpg dedicated to the smart and cute Nene Romanova. You play Nene who must solve the cause for all the recent boomer incidents and put a stop to them. There is a vast world to explore 9211108 | No |
| Caverns 1.2 | gamesbasic92 | Michael Van Der Kolk | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A tunnel-like game where you travel through a cavern trying to avoid the walls. You can also blast them out of your way with some kind of projectile. It also includes powerups, but if you try to blow up the wall, you blow up the power ups too, so be careful with that 'phaser' there. It's pretty cool for a BASIC game. You should download it NOW. (You are getting very sleeeeepy. VEEEERRRYYY SLLEEEPPPYYY. YOU WANT TO DOWNLOAD THIS PROGRAM! YOU DON'T WANT TO WAIT.....) :) | Yes |
| Chess 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Daniel Plaisted | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A chess game for the TI-92. It includes saving and loading options and is pretty good for a BASIC game. It will let you move out of turn and make illegal moves if you choose, but it asks you to confirm this before it does so. (You may note that the screenshot has some 'discrepencies'). Chess is an ancient board game, if you've never heard of it, you needn't bother to download this. It's WAY too complex to explain the rules here. | Yes |
| Computix 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Matthieu Codron | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | This is a strategy game wherein you must get the most points while keeping your opponent from scoring points. To do this, you select a number in the row. That number is added to your score. Afterwards, your opponent chooses a number in the column that your number was in. Then you select a number from the row that his number was in. It alternates between you. (If you don't see what I mean, you will if you play). It's pretty fun and it's easy, so check it out. | Yes |
| Connect 4 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Scott Pierce | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic game of Connect 4. The object of the game is to connect 4 of your discs in a row by dropping them into a square (or rectangular) grid. There are two players who each take turns. The players try to keep the other one from making a 4 in a row line while at the same time trying to get a line for themselves. It's fun for all time. | Yes |
| Conquer | gamesbasic92 | Jason Shah | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | In this game, you must conquer the grid by placing your marks on the board in spaces adjacent to you. It's a 2-player link game, so you must have a friend and a link. You can conquer more than one space at a time, but if your opponent conquers a space adjacent to one conquered by you, all your adjacent spaces become your opponents property. Have fun, it's not easy. | Yes |
| DStar 5.2 | gamesbasic92 | Florian Drevet | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | DStar is a cool puzzle game where you are a black ball who goes around a maze trying to collect all the clear balls. It's harder than you might think, because you can't move wherever you like. You just move in one of the four directions until you hit a wall. You have to use the walls to collect the balls by moving over the clear balls. It's not so hard you can't do it, but it is a puzzle game, so it requires some logic and thinking. | Yes |
| Daleks | gamesbasic92 | Zeke Ragsdale | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | In this game, you must destroy the evil Daleks using your Sonic Screwdriver. It's a bit of a puzzle trying to determine how to move, but basically, you choose a number to move, and based on that number, you get somewhere else. There is also a transporter you can use, but don't let the Daleks get you or you'll die. | No |
| Dark Tick | gamesbasic92 | Aaron Thykeson | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Dark Tick is a maze game where you run around shooting other people in the maze. It's fun if you like to shoot people (heh heh heh...). The maze is fairly simple in appearance, but hard to navigate because it's hard to tell where you are relative to where you were, or where you are going. You'll have to try it out to see what I mean, but you might enjoy this game. Check it out and see. | Yes |
| Dark Tower | gamesbasic92 | Nicholas Hall | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A role playing game similar to D&D. You choose your race and your profesion (class) and then embark on your merry way through the dark tower to complete some task. I didn't play long enough to find out what, but I assume you go to the dark tower to defeat the evil power, because this is an RPG and all RPG's follow that same ultra-basic plot structure. If you like RPG's, you'll probably like this -- it's a good game. | Yes |
| Demine 2.05 | gamesbasic92 | Thomas Morin | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The game of 'Minesweeper' (or Demineur in France) in which you must disarm a minefield grid by making educated guesses as to where the mines are. This game has some unusual quirks which are unique to this version, but you'll adapt to them. Try it out if you like Minesweeper -- this one has a bit more challenge to it and is relatively fast. | Yes |
| Dog Race | gamesbasic92 | Jeremy Robbin | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A simple dog racing game. You have $100 to start, and you bet on the dog (for some reason called a 'horse' on the betting screen -- small oversight I guess) you think will win. There are no odds or anything to go by, simply random chance. You have a 1 in 4 odds of winning no matter which 'horse' you bet on. If you like racing games, you may like this. | Yes |
| Don Barnes Golf 1.00.92 | gamesbasic92 | Don Barnes | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The gentlemen's game of Golf. Don Barnes has helped to create a VERY accurate simulation taking into account club type, length and angle to hole, wind resistence, force of swing, and other factors (like good BASIC graphics) to make this a cool game (for those of you who like Golf -- and who want it to be realistic). So, if you are one of those people, I suggest you try it out. | Yes |
| Doom 1.0 ß1 | gamesbasic92 | Ashu Chaturvedi | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The cool shoot-em-up game of Doom. In this game, you play a soldier trying to escape from Hell. To do this, he must pass through several levels killing the demons he encounters there until he reaches the main chamber of the mother demon who guards the door back to Earth. He has shotguns, plasma rifles, BFG 9000's, chain guns, chain saws, and other weapons to help him accomplish his goals (they are hiddin within the mazes in Hell). | Yes |
| Doom 92 1.0 ß1 | gamesbasic92 | BioHazard Productions | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Doom for the TI-92. A cool shoot-em-up game originally for the PC from ID software. The game is simple, you are a soldier stuck in Hell who must break through the levels killing the demons with your shotguns, pistols, rifles, plasma cannons, big friggin guns 9000 (BFG 9000), etc in order to help you escape back to Earth. Your only objective is to kill the mother demon who guards the gate to hell (note that I am assuming this follows the plot of the original Doom as I've never played the game to completion). | Yes |
| Drug Wars | gamesbasic92 | Frédéric Brown | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | In this game you are a drug dealer who must repay a considerable debt to a loan shark who won't be too happy if you don't. Events in the game drive the prices up and down. Allows you to save your game. | Yes |
| Drug Wars | gamesbasic92 | Jonathan Maier, Jonathan Bloom, and Shane Vincent | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Drugwars is a simple game where you are a drug dealer who must repay a considerable loan to a loan shark. If you don't pay up, he'll be VERY disappointed to say the least and you might end up wearing concrete shoes to go swimming in (which isn't much fun...). Different events in the game influence the price of drugs, all you have to do is act on them to buy and sell the drugs making a profit and repaying your loan. Be careful, the life of a drug dealer is none too safe. | Yes |
| Dumb Jumping Man 2.00.92 | gamesbasic92 | Don Barnes | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | This is a cool game where you play a trampoline who must catch a man jumping off a building to help him land safely. It's very difficult, but it's fun anyway. The assembly version is more fun (but you need the compatability module for that because it's Fargo I only) because it's faster. Try to catch dumb jumping john before he dies. | Yes |
| Euchre 1.0ß | gamesbasic92 | Randy Herban | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic card game of Euchre. This game is a two-player version (not the standard four-player). You can play against another person or against the computer. The rules are too complex to describe here, but if you know them, you'll like this game. Try it out. | Yes |
| Fast-Mine 92 2.0 | gamesbasic92 | Matthieu Codron | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic game of mine sweeper (or Demineur in France). In this game, there is a grid filled with mines (a minefield), and it is your job to demine the field. To do this, click on one square (and hope it doesn't blow up). That will tell you if there are any mines adjacent to that square, and if so, how many. Making guesses based on that, you can determine where the mines are. Try it out, you might like it. | Yes |
| Fernando 3 3.2 | gamesbasic92 | Patrick Pelissier | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Fernando 3 is a cool Mario-type game where you run around collecting all the keys to get to the next level. You have to avoid the monsters too. It's not an easy game, because it's kind of jerky (the game pictues fade in and out oddly). It's pretty cool for a BASIC game, but all things considered, I'd get the assembly version. | Yes |
| Final Fantasy 7: Cloud's Quest 1.4 | gamesbasic92 | Fryed and Nomad Software | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A recreation of the Final Fantasy 7 game (minus most of the 'cinema' features -- i.e. it's not as graphical due to memory restrictions). Arguably one of the coolest calc games in existence, at least for BASIC. As for most big RPG games, you'll need ALL the memory you have (i.e. reset the calc first). You go around the 'map' (it's not graphical -- save often!) fighting monsters and saving the world (typical FF story-line). If I told you anymore, I'd ruin the fun of the game for you. Trust me, if you like RPG's, YOU CANNOT PASS THIS UP! | Yes |
| Final Fantasy Destination 1.5x | gamesbasic92 | Destination Software | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A role playing game based on the Final Fantasy series by Squaresoft. Incorporates many elements from Final Fantasy VI (FF3 in US), but has a new storyline. Excellent graphics for a BASIC game, and it's very quick except when you're walking on the overworld map. | Yes |
| Football 0.3ß | gamesbasic92 | Eric Skoglund | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | This football game is more of a play-by-play than an actual game. You don't actually do anything other than enter the team names and who is the home team and who is the visitor team. Then the game plays itself telling you what happens each time. | Yes |
| Four Win | gamesbasic92 | Dünser Mathias | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic game of Connect 4 (I guess they call it Four Win in Germany). The object of the game is to drop 4 of your discs into the grid making a line of discs of your color. You have one opponent who is trying to accomplish the same goal while keeping you from reaching your goal. You take turns one after the other placing your pieces strategically until someone wins (or until all the board is filled and no one has won). This game has a VERY big board, much bigger than the standard version, so it's a bit slow, but there are a lot of options for disc placement. The best thing is that the guy programmed the game on my birthday -- interesting coincidence. | Yes |
| Gorillas | gamesbasic92 | Fryed Software | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The game of Gorillas for the TI-92 (also called Tanks, Combat, and MANY MANY other names). The object of the game is to destroy your opponent. There are two players, which would normally be Gorillas (hence the name), but they didn't make graphic gorillas, so you have circles instead. These 'gorillas' fire at each other with bombs (nuclear, conventional, and some other type) which are normall banannas, but of course circles appealed better for memory reasons (and time too I imagine). You have to hit you opponent using vectors and angles (trajectories) and force of the weapon (i.e. how 'hard' you launch the missle). Good for physics majors :) (don't worry, no air resistance is factored in here) | Yes |
| Guess | gamesbasic92 | Jared Nielson | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic number guessing game. The computer will pick a number from 1 to 100 and you have to guess it. You have infinitely many attempts in which to guess the number, but the less time it takes you to guess the better. Your name will be in the high score if you guess the number in the least number of tries. Not too hard, a simple and timeless game. | Yes |
| Hangman 0.5 | gamesbasic92 | Ashu Chaturvedi | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic game of hangman, where the computer chooses a word from its database and you have to try and guess it. Be careful with this game, it is CASE SENSITIVE -- meaning, if you choose a lowercase a, and there are only uppercase A's in the word, then it will say there are no "a's" in the word. I suggest turning caps lock ON for this one. | Yes |
| Hangman 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Chris Zinkula | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A cool hangman game with customizable word databases. You can have up to 9 word banks to choose from. The author didn't include one, but I made one for the U.S. states for you (I think they're all in there) so you can play that or make your own using the built-in dictionary editor. | Yes |
| Hi-Low Guessing Game 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Jeff Altman | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Another guessing game. The range is 1-100. The computer picks a number, and you must try and guess what that number is. The computer will tell you after each guess if your guess was lower than the actual number, or higher than it. You make decisions accordingly. | Yes |
| Hic Quest 0.1ß | gamesbasic92 | Keith Wier | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | This is a game where you are a stupid hic trying to get a 100% blood alcohol level. To do this, you go and fight things, buy/trade things, drink beer (and other spirituous liquors), and basically do everything a dumb hic does. It's pretty funny. | Yes |
| Jumble 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Ed Fisher | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A word puzzle game. This game picks a word from its database, scrambles the letter, and asks you to guess the word. It does not help you guess the word, so you just have to keep trying. If you like Word Puzzles, check it out. | Yes |
| Klondike | gamesbasic92 | David Chaudier | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | One of the many clones of the Solitare card game. This game focuses on points (i.e. You lose them quite often) because the more time you take, the more points it takes away. The points are deducted rapidly, so you have to be really fast. If you like Card Games like Solitare, you'll probably like this. | Yes |
| Land Mine | gamesbasic92 | Joe Wingbermuehle | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Land Mine is a game of strategy in which you must disarm a mine field. To do this, click on a square, and hope there are no mines there. If there weren't (i.e. you didn't blow up), then it will tell you how many mines are adjacent to that square. Using that information, you can determine where the rest of the mines are, hopefully, without being blown up in the process. | Yes |
| Lemonade Stand 2.1 | gamesbasic92 | Chris Deehr | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The old game of Lemonade Stand. In this game, you play an entrepreneur who decides to open up a lemonade stand. You need to make money by buying supplies, making lemonade, selling lemonade, etc. The object is (naturally) to make the most amount of money you can. You have one month to do it in. | Yes |
| Lines 92 1.0.1 | gamesbasic92 | Christian Walther | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The game of Tron, a two-player Nibbles game where the players play simultaneously and must avoid both the walls and each other. It's VERY hard (okay, BASIC slowness makes it easier, but it's not easy). | Yes |
| Little War 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Thomas Enzi | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Little War is a game in where there are two tanks, each trying to destroy the other. This game is also known as Combat, War, Tanks, Gorillas, etc. To fire on the other player, you must aim your cannon according to angle and force (alpha and P), so it's a good exercise in physics. This version of the game is a bit slow (okay, VERY slow), but it has the best interface I've ever seen. If you like this type of game, get THIS ONE and find a way to replace your processor with a PII-450 or something, or just wait for a few seconds... whichever is easier for you. | Yes |
| MaGic SqUaRe 0.1ß | gamesbasic92 | (bWan | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The Magic Square game is a puzzle game wherein you must arrange the discs on a grid in the correct order. You cannot move the discs directly; rather, you press numeric keys and the balls are arranged according to fashion. You'll have to extrapolate the pattern yourself (or read the instructions maybe). | Yes |
| MarTo'k 1 ß | gamesbasic92 | Paul DeLeeuw | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A semi-cool adventure series game similar to the Legend of Zelda. Right now, it's not finished, so it doesn't have all the components, but it's pretty fast, you have one magic spell, and there are monsters, but you can't complete the game because it's not done yet. If you like different types of RPG/adventure games, you'll like this game. | Yes |
| Mario Land | gamesbasic92 | Chris Scott | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Another Super Mario Brother Clone. The basic plot is that you are Mario, a plumber lost in a strange world trying to defeat the evil lizard 'King Bowser'. You can get power-up blocks and other cool things to help you out. If you like adventure games, you'll probably like this. | Yes |
| Mastmind 0.9 | gamesbasic92 | J. Cop. | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic game of Mastermind. You have to break a code based on colored balls. Each ball corresponds to one of the Function keys (i.e. F1, F2, ..., F8). You have 12 chances to break the code. The game will give you clues as to how to proceed. To decypher the clues, you'll have to read the directions. | Yes |
| Maze | gamesbasic92 | Joe Wingbermuehle | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A classic maze game. The computer will generate a maze for you based upon the dimensions you select. The screenshot is based on the smallest maze, but it can be MUCH larger if you choose, but keep in mind, the larger the maze, the longer the time to generate it. However, small mazes don't provide any challenge -- it took me all of 5 seconds to find the way through the screenshot maze. | Yes |
| Megaman 92 | gamesbasic92 | Dave Jaklitsch | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | ROCK MAN for the TI-92. (Or Mega Man in the U.S.) Originally created for the Nintendo by Capcom, it is one of the most successful trilogies in all of video game history with over 11 games! The basic plot is this: you are a robotic man known as 'Mega Man'. Your goal is to stop the evil Dr. Wily from taking over the world using his evil robotic henchmen (which in this version he uses to safeguard his most powerful invention: the TI-92). The gameplay is a bit odd, but if you like Megaman, you'll like this most likely. | Yes |
| Memory | gamesbasic92 | Author Unknown | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic card game of memory. The basic object is to pick two cards and make a match. You find out where compatable cards are by trial an error. The trick is to remember where the cards are that will help you make a match. This game has a few odd quirks -- most notably, it's one player, so it's not much fun if you win. Second, score doesn't work very well. You get 1 point whether you make a match or not. But, if you like the memory game, you'll like this anyway, and if you can program, you can probably fix this game easily. | Yes |
| Mine92 2.0 | gamesbasic92 | Marc Teyssier | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A more classic rendition of Mine Sweeper with cool graphics. This game includes a timer of 500 'seconds' (game loop cycles really). It has really good graphics. The basic plot is this: you must disarm a rectangular gridded minefield. To do this, you pick a square (hoping there's no mine there :), and that will tell you if there are any mines in the adjacent squares, and if so, how many. Using that information, you can make educated guesses about where the mines are to mark and disarm. Check it out, it's a pretty good version. Did I mention it has good graphics? | Yes |
| MineHunt 1.00.92 | gamesbasic92 | Ed Fisher | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A port of the MineHunt game from the HP 48G series of graphing calculators. This game is similar to MineSweeper, but instead of randomly selecting a space to look for mines, you must navigate the minefield from upper-left hand corner to lower-right hand corner being careful not to hit any mines. It's all trial and error, so if you like MineSweeper, you'll like this. The graphics aren't the best, but it's cool anyway. | Yes |
| MineSweeper 5.1 | gamesbasic92 | Philippe Perrin | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | MineSweeper with a twist. Instead of searching for mines, you play a man who must navigate the minefield without getting blown up. The game will tell you how many mines are near your position so you can think about where you want to move. It's a much better version of MineSweeper in my opinion. Try it, you WILL like it. | Yes |
| Mines 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Michael Van Der Kolk | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A very easy edition of MineSweeper. It's pretty cool though. You can have as many or as few mines as you want, but the grid is always the same size. It takes awhile if you choose a small number of mines because it has to check a LARGE number of adjacent squares to see if mines are nearby. In the screenshot, I only choose 2 squares to reveal ALL that. It comes equipped with a teacher key too (ESC) which draws a graph in case a nosy teacher wants to see what kind of 'work' you are doing. MineSweeper is a game where you must disarm a minefield by picking a square (hoping there are no mines there). That will tell you if there are mines in the adjacent squares, and if so, how many. Using that information, you can extrapolate the positions of the mines (or die trying). Have fun, this one's WORTH getting. | Yes |
| Mines 92 2.1.1 | gamesbasic92 | Christian Walther | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Another MineSweeper clone. This one is pretty standard, except for the fact that it doesn't check adjacent squares if it finds a square with no mines next to it. That's your job. Anyway, MineSweeper is game where you must disarm a minefield. To do this, you look at certain squares (hoping there are no mines in that particular square). That will tell you if there are mines in the adjacent squares, and if so, how many. With that information, you can extrapolate the whereabouts of the mines in the grid. This one isn't too bad of a game, and it has decent graphics (and has directions right on-screen, which is a BIG plus). | Yes |
| Mop-Demineur II 1 | gamesbasic92 | TIMOP | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Demineur is the french version of MineSweeper. The basic plot is this: you must disarm a mine field by actively searching for the mines and flagging them for disarmement. To do this, pick a square (hoping no mine is there). That will tell you if any mines are adjacent to that square, and if so, how many. Using that information, you can extrapolate the position of the mines and disarm them. This game is ALL in French, so if you don't speak French, you might want to try one of the English versions (there are PLENTY). | Yes |
| Mosaic | gamesbasic92 | Author Unknown | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A simple puzzle game. You have a rectangular grid of numbers, a 3x3 matrix with numbers in them from 1 to 8, non-repeating. In this game, you must arrange the numbers in order from 1-8 by moving a number from one space to the single open space on the board. By doing this, you can arrange the whole board in order. From the screenshot, you can see that I've almost completed it, but the 6 MUST be in the 2nd-column, 3rd slot, or it's technically not in order. The 3rd column, 3rd slot is the one that must be empty at the end in order to win, and no, the grid doesn't start out so organized. I've made about 40 moves (which you can also see in the screenshot). This is a cool game which takes up virtually NO memory, so you should get it ASAP. | Yes |
| Mystic Legend 92 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Hiryu | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | In this role playing game, you play Lyle the warrior who must find the Mystic Blade and destroy (or imprison) the great demon God Chaos and free the God of Light. | Yes |
| Naval Battle | gamesbasic92 | Philippe Perrin | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Battleship (or Naval Battle if you will) for the TI-92. It is a one-player vs. the computer version. The basic plot is this: you have a naval force, and your opponent has an equally strong (same number and type of ship) opposing naval force. You must attack random positions in your opponents field to find and destroy his ships. The computer has no intelligence, it simply attacks random positions. You on the other hand have the advantage of knowing that if you hit one spot on a ship, there must be another spot adjacent to that one to help you sink the ship. This game is pretty fun, so try it out, you'll like it. | Yes |
| Nequisto 1.0.1 | gamesbasic92 | Christian Walther | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The game of Conquer for the TI-92. This one has a graphical interface and uses the link port to send data between two calcs. It is a two-player game where you must conquor the squares around you. You start with each player occupying one sqare at opposite diagonal ends of the grid. You then assimilate squares next to you until you have a good arsenal. Then you move into your opponent's territory. Whenever you conquor a square adjacent to one your opponent controls, you automatically acquire that square too. It's a pretty fun game, and challenging too, although there's not much strategy involved. If you have a friend with a TI-92, try it out. | Yes |
| Nibbles | gamesbasic92 | Joe Wingbermuehle | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic snake game of Nibbles. In this game, you play a snake who must eat apples to grow larger while avoiding the wall. Be careful to turn the axes on the graph OFF, because it uses PxlTest to see if you've run into a wall. If you run into the axes, you will die, and some apples may be isolated from you if you don't turn them off. Has many levels, and quasi-decent speed for a BASIC game. If you don't want to use ASM for some reason, this game is a cool edition of nibbles. | Yes |
| Nibbles 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Philippe Perrin | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The snake game of Nibbles. In this game, you play a snake who must eat 'apples' (blocks) to grow larger. After your snake eats enough blocks, he can get to the next level. Be careful not to run into the wall or yourself or you will die. | Yes |
| Numberz 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Joe Christensen | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A number guessing game. Very simple, with a high score system. It's a bit confusing though, as it's not clear what the number range is, but I think it's between 1 and 100. | Yes |
| Othello 0.8v | gamesbasic92 | Michael Van Der Kolk | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A classic game of Othello. This one is pretty cool graphics-wise, and the play is excellent. The computer AI is VERY smart, and takes 10 years to decide. Maybe that's why he always won. Anyway, in Othello, your objective is to surround your opponent. To do this, you 'jump' over your other players blocks. Those blocks become yours, plus you get the extra block into which you jumpted. It's definitely a strategy oriented game, and as such is very difficult. Try it out if you like strategy games. | Yes |
| Othello | gamesbasic92 | Author Unknown | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic board game of Othello for the TI-92. The rules are simple: 'jump' the other players discs to gain control of them. It's similar to checkers, except you can jump as far as you want, and in any direction, so long as you cross some of your opponents squares. This game was slightly odd, because it sometimes wouldn't let me move somewhere that should've been okay. If you like Othello, or strategy games in general, you might want to go with Michael Van Der Kolk's version instead. | Yes |
| Pica Centro | gamesbasic92 | Author Unknown | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A number guessing game similar to Master Mind (oder Meister Mind auf Deutsch). In this game, you must determine the number of which the computer is thinking. To do this, you guess a number, and it gives you clues based on the number you picked. It tells you if you have a correct number, and if so how many, how many numbers you have in the correct places, and if you have picked any numbers which the computer did not. The numbers are only three digits making the game fairly easy. Afterall, that limits things to 729 possibilities, which is hardly anything. :) Have fun, this game is cool if you like strategy games. | Yes |
| Picross 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Yvon Hochart | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | An interesting game of MineSweeper. Instead of revealing the number of mines next to a square, it displays the number of mines in each column and row. From that data, you must extrapolate the position of the mines. It's MUCH harder, but can be done if you have good analytic reasoning skills (obviously, I don't. I lost every game :( Try it out, I think you'll like this unique game. In addition, it comes in both French and English. | Yes |
| Ping Pong | gamesbasic92 | Joe Wingbermuehle | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The VERY FIRST VIDEO GAME EVER! PONG! Okay, enough enthusiasm, we all know what pong is. Table Tennis is it also called. Yoda speak like can I also too maybe. In Ping Pong, there are two players who hit a small plastic ball back and forth. In this version, you play against the computer. It's pretty fun, if you like Pong, but it gets boring easily. | Yes |
| Pipe Line 1.5 | gamesbasic92 | DATA-Spirit SoftwareS | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Pipeg is a cool game where you must lay pipe which connects with itself to form a chain so that 'water' (or whatever is in the pipes) can flow through. If you don't lay the pipe quickly enough, you lose. The reason it is hard is because you have to select different pieces of Pipe, but the pipe pieces available are selected at random, so you never know which one will come up next, and maybe the right piece won't come up fast enough. The game is pretty fun, and not too slow considering it's in BASIC. If you like action/strategy games, you'll probably like this one too. | Yes |
| Piper 92 1.1.1 | gamesbasic92 | Christian Walther | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | In this game, you must create a pipeline for water to flow through. To do this, you have a rectangular grid in which you must build your pipe. You have several selections, but all must be in a certain spot for the water to flow right. Everytime you choose one piece of pipe, your selections change. I didn't do very well, but I'll tell you this: It IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLAY THIS GAME IN VIRTUAL TI! It requires keys which aren't in the right sequence on the keyboard of a computer, and you can't make the mouse move to the right spot quickly enough. This game is VERY fast for a BASIC game, so if you like Pipe laying games, try it out. | Yes |
| Poker 2.0 | gamesbasic92 | James Rankin | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The time-honored (aren't you glad I didn't say 'classic'?) card game Poker. In Poker, you are dealt cards, and you try to match those cards up in certain fashions. For instacne, there is a pair (two card of same face, i.e. two 6's, or two Jacks, etc), two pair, a straight, a full house, a flush, a royal flush, 3 of a kind, and 4 of a kind. Poker is a simple game, but if you don't know what the types of hands are, then don't get this game. Otherwise, this is a good game. | Yes |
| Poker | gamesbasic92 | Pierre Charlot | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | This card game, which comes in both French and English, has been around for millions of years (okay, maybe not that long...) and everyone on Earth loves it (okay, maybe that's not true either), but YOU will love it (not guaranteed). Anyway, in Poker, you have 5 cards dealt to you. You must try to make those cards match in certain fashions by discarding ones you don't want. The hands you want are: a pair (2 of a kind), three of a kind, 4 of a kind, a flush, a royal flush, a straight, and a full house. Poker is too complex to describe here, but the rules are simple, so if you know them, try it out. This game has very good graphics, and is quite realistic. | Yes |
| Pong | gamesbasic92 | Jason Voccia | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Pong is the coolest game that was EVER made! Okay, maybe not, but it was the first video game ever made. This is a one-player version, as there is no computer AI, which you would think would make it faster, but it's still pretty slow. The game involves you hitting a ball with your 'paddle' against the wall and being 'fast' enough to catch it when it comes back. This is not easy, because you have to keep pressing the arrow keys so the game understands that you want it to move over, and it is so slow that any delays from you will mean that your paddle will never reach the ball before it hits the floor. If you don't want to use ASM for some reason, this is a good one-player Pong game, otherwise, get an ASM version that's fast. | Yes |
| Pong | gamesbasic92 | Author Unknown | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Pong for the TI-92. The game is simple, and fairly fast for a BASIC game. It's a one-player version, so you just hit the ball against the wall. That's the whole plot of the game, you just hit the ball with your paddle against the wall. Told you it was simple. Have fun, it's probably the best BASIC version I've seen, for a one-player that is. | Yes |
| Power 4 1.1 | gamesbasic92 | Marc Teyssier | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The simple strategy game of Connect 4 (or Pussiance or Power 4 in France). In this game, there are two players (who can be named in this version of the game), we'll call them 'Biff' and 'Monty' because that's the games default names. Biff and Monty try to put colored discs (one color for Monty, and one for Biff) into a rectangular grid making 4 'connect' or line-up into a row of 4 discs. Each player tries to keep the other one from accomplishing that goal while getting his row in at the same time. This game is really easy, and is fast enough for a BASIC game. If you like 'Connect 4', then get this game today. | Yes |
| Punisher RPG | gamesbasic92 | Fryed Software | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Another text-based RPG, but not like the many mythical magic, monsters, heros, and demon RPG's that an RPG is usually filled with, rather in this game you play the KCHS Punisher who must retake the school from the EVIL dean of students who has replaced all the teachers with clones bent on world domination. This is a pretty involved game, so if you like the story, you'll probably like the game. | No |
| PureLogic 2.0 | gamesbasic92 | Andy Rintoul | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A variation on the MineSweeper game. Instead of picking a square at random to disarm the minefield, you are trying to reach a place on the opposite side without being blown to bits. To do this, the game will tell you how many mines are around you relative to your position. Using this info, you can determine where to go (how this helps, I'm not sure, unless there is a pattern to the mine distribution). This game is fairly quick, has decent graphics, is customizable (number of rows, columns, mines) and is pretty cool. Try it out if you like these types of games. | Yes |
| Race 1.2 | gamesbasic92 | Author Unknown | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Race is a game with a minute resemblence to Tunnel (meaning almost none). In this game, you must navigate a small area with rocks in the path. I think it's almost impossible to do anything, and you're dead before you know it, but maybe you'll have better luck than I. | No |
| Ratscrew 2.0 | gamesbasic92 | Andy Rintoul | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Ratscrew is a killer card game that isn't very well-known. In the game, your objective is to run your opponent out of cards. To do this, you play the card on the top of your hand. If it is a number card, it becomes your opponents turn and nothing happens. If it's a face card, then you opponent must keep playing until he draws another face card, or until the limit is reached (in this game, Ace=4 cards, King=3 cards. Queen=2, and Jack=1 card). When the hand is played like that, then the winner gets all the cards on the pile. It's a pretty cool game, and the rules are VERY well explained within the game by Andy, so try it out. It's new (well, new to you probably), it's different, it's cool, and it's got good graphics. | Yes |
| RealM | gamesbasic92 | Randy Herban | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | RealM is a text-based RPG game where you play the main character. I'm not sure what the plot is, but I know that there are a lot of cool monsters, spells, and more. If you like text RPG's, check this one out. | Yes |
| Reflexio 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | TItanix Software | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Reflexio is a DStar clone game. If you are not familiar with DStar, here are the basic rules: You play the guy with the shades. That guy moves around the board collecting all the black balls on the screen. To do this, he moves in ONE direction at a time (your choice which direction though) until he hits a wall. If a space he travels over has a black ball in it, then he collects the ball. To collect all the balls, you have to bounce back and forth across the screen hitting the walls. It's a strategy game, and it's pretty fun. Not too slow considering it's in BASIC either. | Yes |
| Risk | gamesbasic92 | Doug Davis | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The game of Risk! Use your armies to take over the world in a game filled with strategy. The rules were not clearly defined in the game, and since I don't know how to play I can't explain it to you, but if you do know how to play, it looks like it might be a good game. | Yes |
| Shooter 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Adol and Tony Bennett | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Shooter is a shoot-em-up game for the TI-92. (big surprise, I know) In this game, you are a spaceship who shoots an alien. This game is AMAZINGLY fast for a BASIC game, I actually turned on the 'Restrict to Actual Speed' option in Virtual-TI when I was playing this because when it was off, it was TOO FAST. The game is impossible to win, no matter how many times you shoot that head, it never dies, and it can shoot you 1.5 million times in 3.2 seconds. But, that aside, it's a fast game. | Yes |
| SimCiTI 2.04 | gamesbasic92 | Chris Deehr | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | This version of the game by Maxis is mostly text-based. In SimCiTI, your goal is to build a city from scratch and watch it grow into a big metropolis. To do this, you must build residential districts (places to live), industrial districts (places to work), commerial districts (places to shop), power plants (to give power to your districts), police and fire stations (to help keep order in the city), public transportation (roads and rails to help people move about), and more to make your city the best city ever. There is a lot of strategy to the game, but you can just play for fun if you like too, it's not that hard. | Yes |
| Simcity 92 | gamesbasic92 | Atrus | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A clone of the popular Sim City 3000 game by Maxis. Your objective is to build a new city and to be a successful mayor of that city by managing money, taking care of civil order, organizing the development of the city, etc. The scope is not quite as large as the PC game, but it's excellent for a calculator game. | Yes |
| Simon 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Ashu Chaturvedi | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Simon 'Says' is a game in where you must mimic what the computer does. In this case, if the computer displays a key (like F8 for example), you must press that key. But sometimes you are not supposed to press it, but I can't tell the difference. Maybe you will have better luck? | Yes |
| Slayers RPG 2.0 | gamesbasic92 | Hiryu | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | An role playing game featuring the popular anime-type characters. If you don't know what I mean, just look at the game. You KNOW you've seen them someplace. Maybe from DragonBall Z, Sailor Moon, Speed Racer, G-Force, or someplace else. The game features multiple character battle scenes. (5 total), a fully graphical world, a skill and magic training system, and runs for about 15 to 20 hours of game play (varying slightly based on the player, naturally), animated enemies with spell attacks, and a graphical storyline. All that and more. If you like RPG's or Anime, it's a MUST HAVE. | No |
| Slot 92 1.00 | gamesbasic92 | Elliot Eschelman | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A slot machine game where you try to make $100,000,000,000. It's fairly simple an a bit of fun if you like slot machines. It has some small graphics, but nothing extradorinary, but it's nice nontheless. Try it out, you might like it. It keeps track of your high scores, and you can bet as much at a time as you want to win more and more. | Yes |
| Snafu Gold 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Michael Van Der Kolk | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The object of this game is to keep from running into anything for the longest amount of time. The longer you survive, the more points you get. It's fairly boring playing one player, so I recomment the 2 player options. It does slow down if you play with the computer though, noticably. It's a fun game, and it's not too hard, so try it out today. | Yes |
| Snake | gamesbasic92 | Author Unknown | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A quasi-nibbles type game where you are a snake. Instead of eating blocks to grow bigger though, your job is to navigate a maze. Even with the slow speed, it's hard to make corrections fast enough to get through this maze. Needless to say, I lost about 50,000 times just trying to make a screenshot. I wouldn't waste my time with this game unless you want to navigate the maze. I'd get a maze game for that. | Yes |
| Snake 0.1 | gamesbasic92 | Jon Eddy | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Snake is a nibbles type game wherein you are a snake who must navigate a maze collecting (eating) blocks to grow longer. In this version, you don't grow longer by eating blocks because you are always growing, and never move from a spot you were in. This makes the game VERY hard to play. Second, making course corrections is very difficult, so it's nearly impossible to collect the blocks against the wall. I don't reccommend this game unless you don't want to use ASM for some reason. | Yes |
| Star Trek: First Contact | gamesbasic92 | Mark A. Kappeler | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Star Trek: First Contact is a game based on the hit movie of the same name. The basic plot is this: you are Lt. Cmmdr Data whose job it is to stop the Borg from taking over the Enterprise and subsequently the Earth. To move around the ship, you must find clues left by Lt. Cmmdr Geordi to help you get to the next level until you reach Engineering, the location of the Borg Queen. There, you must destroy her, or die trying. If you're a Trekkie, you'll probably love this game. | Yes |
| Stick Kombat 0.9 | gamesbasic92 | Michael Van Der Kolk | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Stick Kombat is a mortal kombat like game where you play one of the guys who must kill the other guy. The game has fatalaties and is pretty cool for a BASIC game. Check it out if you like fighting games. | Yes |
| Stickman | gamesbasic92 | Fryed Software | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Stickman is a collection of games featuring the main character STICKMAN! You can play God and try to kill Stickman with lightning, or you can play the human and try to avoid God (you always lose, your objective is to stay alive AS LONG AS POSSIBLE). You can be eaten by Dogs (you don't get to play the dogs though), or you can try to avoid God and the Dogs at the same time (ouch!). Stickman can even go sky diving. This game KICKS! You'll love everything except the veeeerrryyy sslloooooooooowww speeeeedd. . .... An ASM version would be nice... | Yes |
| Sting Ray II: The Search for the Shooter | gamesbasic92 | Psycho Enterprises | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Sting Ray is a shoot-em-up game. You shoot whatever moves and admire whatever doesn't. (I stole that from the instructions...) It's not too slow, and it's kind of cool, but it takes up all your memory, so beware. Have fun. | Yes |
| Stock Exchange 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Frank Weiß-Motz | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Stock Exchange is a game in where you play the stock market (obviously, no?). You start out with $50,000, and you have to invest it in some 6 companies (including Dell). The object is to make as much money as you can by buying and selling stock. You can also get advice from experts, but everything on Wall St. comes with a price tag. Have fun, maybe you'll be the next Warren Buffet (for those who don't know, he's the most successful investor EVER). | Yes |
| Stratega 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Psycho Enterprises | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Stratega is a killer game where you play an army general who must capture your opponents army's flag. To do this, you position your army strategically to guard your flag, while advancing to destroy your enemy. This is a 2-player link game ONLY, and it's very involved, perhaps the coolest BASIC game I've EVER played. If you like strategy war games, GET THIS NOW! YOU WILL NOT FIND A BETTER GAME FOR THE TI-92! | Yes |
| TI Kong 1.00.92 | gamesbasic92 | Don Barnes | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Donkey Kong for the TI-92. It's written by Don Barnes, so you know it has to be cool. It's just like the old Atari or Arcade versions (not the new-age N64 versions). The basic gameplay is that you are Mario (did you know that this was the VERY FIRST game where Mario appeared?) and you have to rescue your girlfriend Pauline from the evil clutches of Donkey Kong. (did you know Donkey Kong was a translation error? When the Japanese guys tried to get an English name, they were trying to get a word for 'Stupid' -- their dictionary gave them the word 'Donkey'. Mix that with 'King Kong' and you get Video Game History. | Yes |
| TItris 0.8 | gamesbasic92 | Niklas Brunlid | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | TItris is a tetris clone for the TI-92. Tetris is a russian puzzle game in where you must fit pieces of the puzzle together as the fall from the top of the board to the bottom into rows. Once you have a row, it dissappears. This game is VERY VERY VERY slow, so it's too easy, i.e. no fun. You need to get Jimmy Mårdell's version if you really want to play Tetris. | Yes |
| Tetris92 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | John Zeller | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Tetris is an old-time Russian strategy game. It's a puzzle game where you must fit pieces together to form lines which then dissappear. If you don't get lines to dissapear, you go above the top of the grid and you lose. I think everyone's played Tetris before. This one would be okay if it weren't so slow. BASIC just won't work for Tetris, you NEED ASM. Get Jimmy Mårdell's Tetris for Fargo or the Fargo II port by MXM Projects. | Yes |
| Tic Tac Toe 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | J. J. Johns | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Tic Tac Toe is a simple game where you try to get 3 of your marks into a row, either diagonally, horizontally, or vertically. It's very simple to play, but not to win. If both players play correctly, no one ever wins. It's always a stalemate. However, in this game it won't matter, because the game doesn't 'know' when you've won or lost. You play until the board is filled. | Yes |
| Tic Tac Toe | gamesbasic92 | Michael Jarossy | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Tic Tac Toe is a simple game where two players face off to get their marks in a row of 3. This game has a 2-player link version, and a 1-player vs. computer with 3 difficulty modes. It's definitely the best Tic Tac Toe I've seen. It's very graphical too, so it's a good game all around. Try it out, you will like it. ... ... I SAID TRY IT! | Yes |
| Tickopoly | gamesbasic92 | Aaron Thykeson | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Tickopoly is a game very similar to monopoly. It doesn't have a complete board, and there are no houses/hotels, but otherwise it's very similar. It's a two-player game, but not via the link so you only need one calc. If you like Monopoly, this game's decent, so try it out. | Yes |
| Tickwars | gamesbasic92 | Aaron Thykeson | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Tickwars is a shoot-em-up game for the TI-92. Your objective is to destroy the enemy ships using your own ship while keeping yourself alive. It seems easy, but it's not. It's a bit slow, but it's a BASIC game, so that's to be expected. | Yes |
| Tiger Fight 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | TItanix Software | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | A cool shoot-em-up game, for a BASIC game. You are a spaceship shooting down alien crafts. Your laser is controlled by the F1 key. Two things that are important, 1) the file to run is fiexe() (if you remember the old DOS days, an exe file is an executable file) and 2) you MUST choose options first, and select 'Decompress the Data'. This will load all the data files so you can play the game. It's pretty cool -- you have the chance to get more equipment after each volley of aliens. It's a bit slow, since it's a BASIC game, but it's still REALLY cool. | Yes |
| Tigotch 3.7 | gamesbasic92 | Stephane Lintner | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Tigotch is a KILLER version of the stupid Tamagotchi fad. Instead of having some dumb virtual-pet to take care of, YOU TRAIN THESE EVIL DEMONS TO KILL OTHER TAMAGOTCHI! YES! To do this, you hit it with swords, compressors, pump it full of drugs and other fun things to make it ready for battle. Unfortunately, to complete the game, you'll need a friend with a TI-92 and his own Tigotchi. Then, link up and have them kill each other. Have fun, I know I did. I HATED this stupid fad, and am glad it's over. | Yes |
| Top Gun | gamesbasic92 | Chris Scott | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Top Gun is a flight simulator game where you have to shoot down enemy ships with your missiles. It's pretty easy, but there are harder difficulty levels. It's kinda fun, and it's memory efficient. Try it out if you like shoot-em-up type games. | Yes |
| Town of Hope 2.1 | gamesbasic92 | Mad Rodent Software | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Town of Hope is a text based RPG game where you must save the town of hope. Okay, I just made that up, but there are no directions, so that's as good a guess as any. Try it out if you like RPG's, but don't expect any updates on it, because there are some memory constraints (because it takes up all your memory). | Yes |
| Vendetta 3.1.1 | gamesbasic92 | Christian Walther | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Vendetta is a cool version of the Tanks or Combat or Gorillas game for the TI-92. The basic plot is this: two players are at a face off in mountainous terrain. They must fire missles at each other taking into account the velocity and angle needed to hit the other player. Sometimes though, the moutain will be too high, and the player will have to destroy the mountain in front of him in order to be able to fire at his opponent. It's pretty cool. Try it out, you WILL LIKE IT. It's fast enough, considering it's in BASIC. | Yes |
| Viper | gamesbasic92 | Dünser Mathias | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Viper is a slow, but cooler version of the Nibbles game. In this game, you have things called Jokers, which allow you to either 1) run into yourself and pass through without dying, or 2) fire at a wall and destroy it. These things are more necessary in a BASIC game which doesn't remove the old part of the snake, and doesn't always let you move fast enough to get where you need to be. The game is VERY slow, so you need to make 'course corrections' in advance of the place you actually want to turn at. You'll get the idea if you play enough. Okay, basic plot: you are a snake who must eat apples to go to the next level. Usually you grow, but not in this game because it's BASIC and doesn't remove the old parts of the snake, so you are always growing. Don't run into yourself or the wall or you die. Have fun! | Yes |
| Wak-a-rat 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Ed Fisher | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Wak-a-rat is a game in which you 'Wak' (whack) A Rat. Fairly obvious, no? It's like the moles game at arcades where you have a mallet and hit the moles as they pop-up. This game swaps rats for moles, although it makes more sense that moles who burrow holes in the ground would pop-up rather than rats. Anyway, when the rats come up, just hit the number that corresponds to their grid to 'wak' them. This game isn't bad, and it's VERY fast for a BASIC game. | Yes |
| Weed Land | gamesbasic92 | Chris Scott | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Weed Land is a game very similar to Mario Land (or Mario Brothers, you know the series...). However, instead of blocks, you have Weed as your block, and Weed for power-ups, and Weed for, well, everything. OH yeah.. I mean, drugs are BAD. Don't EVER use drugs, or you'll DIE a horrible horrible death. Okay, with that said, back to the Weed.... The game is simple, travel through the Weed Kingdom trying to save the Weed Princess (okay, I'm just guessing...). It's a mario clone, just try it. It's a bit slow though. Afterall, it's still BASIC. | Yes |
| Worm 1.32 | gamesbasic92 | Martin Kaluza | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Worms (or Snakes, or Nibbles, or ...) is a game where you have a snake (I guess worm in this version) who grows longer by eating apples. After he's eaten enough apples, he can go to the next level. It's a fun action game which is simple enough for anyone to play, and 132 million people to make clones of. This game is pretty good though. Since it doesn't use lines and pixels, it's very fast, and it actually erases the end of the snake so the snake can grow like it's supposed to. This is probably the best BASIC version of the game I've ever seen (or will ever see). Check it out if you don't like to use ASM. | Yes |
| Yahtzee | gamesbasic92 | Chris Scott | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Yahtzee is a dice game where you must get certain rolls of the dice to score points. The rolls you can get (with your 5 total dice) are 1's, 2's, 3's, 4's, 5's, 6's, 3 and 4 of a kind, Yahtzee (5 of a kind), Chance (add up numbers of dice), full house (like poker, but with dice), small and large straight (again, similar to poker). That should be everything, but maybe not. It's pretty fun for a distraction, and it's decent size for the graphics. Try it out, you'll like it. Two quirks, 1) DO NOT TRY TO GO PAST YOUR DICE WITH THE MARKER, you'll get Dimesion errors and 2) Checkmark mean THROW AWAY, not Keep, so watch out. | Yes |
| Yatzy 1.00 | gamesbasic92 | Pär Wiklund | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The classic game of 'Yahtzee'. In Yahtzee, the object is to roll a set of 5 dice to get certain numbers to come up to match patterns. You can have 1's, 2's, 3's, 4's, 5's, straights, full houses, Yahtzee (all dice of 1 number), chance (score equals sum of dice), and more. It's a pretty fun game when you figure out what that writing on the right side means. It's hard to read becuse it's in rows. That's how you throw the dice again, so if you sit there pressing buttons, it will NEVER throw the dice. Have fun, this game's pretty fun. | Yes |
| Ysplani 1.00 | gamesbasic92 | Don Barnes | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Ysplani is a cool RPG game by Don Barnes. I'm not sure exactly what you are supposed to do, but if I had to guess, I'd say that you need to either get something called the Ysplani, kill someone named Ysplani, obtain the power of the Ysplani, or travel to Ysplani to do something. All RPG's follow a basic plot of 'get strong, kill evil power'. This one is unlikely to be an exception. It's pretty cool, and not too slow for an RPG. Have fun, and remember, it's DON BARNES! | Yes |
| qCards Solitare 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Graham Anderson | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | The card game Solitare. This game is VERY graphical, and pretty cool for a BASIC game. Solitare is a simple one-player card game. The rules are easy to lean: you must move cards into 4 piles in ascending order of their cards starting at the aces, and moving up towards the kings. I.E. You will have 4 piles, spades, diamonds, clubs, and hearts, all having a king on top and an ace on bottom (when you finish, that is). To do this, you must move cards around the table by alternating card color and number. I.e. you can put a red 7 on top of a black 8 on the main game pile, but not on the ACE stacks. It's very easy to get acccustomed to. Solitare's a great one-player game, and this is a PERFECT clone of it. GET THIS NOW! | Yes |
| Fruit 1.0 | gamesbasic92 | Erkki-Juhani Lämsä | 2001-03-23 00:00:00 | A Slots Game. 92-Version of Fruit (TI-86) | Yes |
| Search 99 | gamesbasic92 | Dünser Mathias | 2000-07-15 00:00:00 | Search 99 is similar to 'Battleship', but instead of having many targets on the same ship to sink it, you and your opponent have many ships with only one target. One hit sinks a ship. It's simple guess work here, with no certainty. The object is to blow up all the other player's ships. You can play against the computer or 2-player via the link. It's a good game, but towards the end the computer becomes REALLY slow because it has to choose 1000000 random slots, and then it has to choose again because it's already attacked that spot. Other than that, it's pretty cool. | No |
