| Description | This is a very early demo of a game on which I've been working. The object of this demo is to reach the otherside of the level without falling into any of the holes. Little Mario can walk under blocks that Big Mario can't fit through. Big Mario can break blocks and reach higher in his jumps. The final game will be a pretty standard Mario clone with enemies, coins, external levels, etc. You might recognize the graphics from Bill Nagel's TI-86 Mario-clone. I'm not an artist by any means, so I'm going to use his graphics until I can make better ones (probably never). This is a neat scrolling demo, but not much more. Afterall, this is only a 3 hours worth of work (one hour to rip Nagel's graphics, two hours to write this program). This version will work on an 83+, but future versions with external level support will not. I have no plans to port this to any calculator other than the TI-82. |
