| Description | A two-player version of Black Jack where the players compete against one another. There is no betting in the game though, it works only by winning or losing, and how well you do against the other player. You can check your score between hands. The game play is simple, try to get your hand to reach 21 without going over (face cards are worth 10, aces are worth either 1 or 11, 1 if 11 will cause you to go over 21, 11 otherwise, and other cards are worth their numeric value). A Jack and an Ace (the jack doesn't have to be black -- in fact, suits are not tracked at all in the game or displayed) makes BlackJack, which defeats all other hands. (even if you get 21 in some other combination). I'm not sure if the game supports the '5 card' rule (there are variations on the name) where if you get 5 cards without going bust, you win automatically. |
